Committee changes rating to "significant progress" on some superintendent goals, cites missing end-of-year data

Committee members said the evaluation process worked through four standards (instructional leadership, management and operations, family and community engagement, and professional culture) and multiple focus indicators. Several members raised procedural concerns: end-of-year I-Ready reading benchmarks were not yet available, and some committee members recommended changing the student-learning and professional-practice goal ratings from "met" to "significant progress" because the final evidence could not be produced in time.
"We haven't received the end-of-year benchmark data yet," one committee member said, urging that rating language align with available evidence. The committee agreed to revise the composite accordingly and to refine the evaluation timeline next year so the formal summative review concludes after year-end data are available.
Dr. Klingaman thanked the committee for the feedback and said she would "take your feedback and adjust as I can," also acknowledging staff and administrators in attendance. The committee approved the revised evaluation by a 5-0 vote.
