Superintendent: 209 students walked at MSD Wabash County Schools graduation; honors and future steps noted

He highlighted academic outcomes drawn from the ceremony flyer: 73% of Northfield High School graduates earned a Core 40 or Academic Technical Honors diploma, and 75% of Southwood High School graduates earned one as well. He named student honorees: Southwood valedictorian Malia Mayhem and salutatorian Cohen Holloway; Northfield valedictorian Mason Lions and salutatorian Martins.
Board members applauded the choice of venue and described the ceremony as well attended; several members praised participating students for a range of achievements including technical honors, robotics and athletics. The superintendent and members also noted that many staff are engaged in summer professional development, and that the district is monitoring diploma-track progression for underclassmen with no major changes reported at this time.
The superintendent closed his report by expressing appreciation for staff and families and for the smooth operation of the graduations.
