Board authorizes park utility bid, event amplification, short road closure and reaffirms sustainability certification

At its May 27 meeting, the West Whiteland Township Board approved several operational and administrative items:

- The Board approved amplified sound for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) charity walk scheduled for Oct. 3, 2026, noting NAMI provided required permits and insurance.
- The Board authorized a temporary road closure of Clover Mill Road between Whitford Road and the Clover Mill Pump Station (650 Clover Mill Road) on June 13, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. to allow staff and volunteers to conduct a litter clean-up safely.
- The Board approved the Township payment report for May 27, 2026, after staff answered members’ questions.
- Staff reported the Township achieved Gold certification in the Sustainable Pennsylvania Municipal Certification Program and the Board approved reaffirmation for another three-year certification period (Resolution 2026-22). Staff noted the certification had supported successful grant applications and policy work on solar and EV charging ordinances.
All listed motions were approved with no public comment recorded at the meeting.
