The district said bins should be moved to the front of the home and placed at the curb the night before scheduled pickup, left at least 3 feet from vehicles, mailboxes and other containers to allow safe automated collection, and removed from the curb by the end of the collection day. The announcement listed the reasons for the change as efforts to clear debris and overgrown vegetation from alleys, improve neighborhood appearance, and enhance accessibility for residents and utility partners.
