The Board voted 5‑0 to approve a manager change for Babson College's dining hall alcohol license, three one‑day licenses for the Wellesley Country Club Adam’s Bowl tournament, and to allow a School Department employee to work with the Recreation Department via a municipal employee disclosure. Colette Aufranc moved the consent agenda; Thomas Ulfelder seconded.
Board member Beth Sullivan Woods presented highlights from the Town Hall Art Working Group’s recommendations, including a west entrance exhibit area with a rail hanging system for rotating displays, use of a corner monitor near Town Clerk for communications and required portrait displays, and curated historical materials with the Historical Society; the group noted space constraints and the need to coordinate hanging systems with Facilities and the Permanent Building Committee.
The Board also approved The W: Select Board Edition Volume 2 for mailing and authorized Chair Marjorie Freiman to make final edits (vote 5‑0). Later, the Board voted unanimously to enter executive session under M.G.L. c. 30A §21(a)(3) to discuss strategy related to negotiations with Wellesley Firefighters IAFF Local 1795 and potential litigation with Albany Road‑Wellesley, LLC; invited staff and counsel to attend and planned to return only to adjourn.
