Commission approves four wetland site inspections, including septic replacements and re‑delineations

At its June 9 meeting the Dartmouth Conservation Commission approved three staff wetland delineations and noted that one property contained no wetlands requiring a vote.

Staff described the site visits: at 950 State Road (adjacent to Lake Nokachoke) staff flagged Concom 1–5 and reported the proposed septic system would sit about 100 feet from the flags with no FEMA flood-zone setback concerns; the commission approved the delineation by unanimous roll call. At 1256 North Hicksville Road staff rechecked flags B29–B34 after the original three‑year determination had lapsed and found the delineation matched current wetland conditions; commissioners approved the re-delineation unanimously. At 105 Reed Road staff reported wetlands to the rear (Concom 1–5) with the proposed septic replacement located well outside the wetland buffer; the commission approved the delineation unanimously.

Staff also reported that 31 Deerfield Road consisted largely of lawn with no wetlands within the buffer requiring commission approval; staff noted the derelict structure sits just outside the 100-foot buffer from Lake Nokachoke. Commissioners took the approvals as routine consent items and recorded unanimous votes on the three delineations.

All delineations were accepted as staff-observed lines; applicants were reminded to confirm any site measurements when implementing work.
