Iola council hears fast-paced downtown construction update; businesses urged to be patient

Council members acknowledged business concerns about access and disruption. Staff said they were checking potential emergency funding but were not optimistic about available programs; Camille was reported to be exploring options for affected businesses. The historical society received several intact bricks recovered during excavation, and councilors thanked volunteers and donors who preserved them.
