The Cedar County Board of Supervisors handled routine business and several approvals during its June 2, 2026 regular session in Tipton. The board voted to approve and authorized Chairperson Jon Bell to sign a Cost Advisory Services Contract covering fiscal years 2026–2028 after a motion by Supervisor Barnhart, seconded by Supervisor Kaufmann. The minutes record the motion carried with all members voting in favor.
A handwritten disbursement dated May 29, 2026 was noted in the minutes: Cedar County Treasurer — Benefits, Inc., check #445789 for $1,359.39 to cover self-funded medical claims.
Discussion on a proposed Zoning Administrative Contract was held; Attorney Blank advised tabling the item to allow modifications and changes, and the Board postponed further action on that contract.

After updates, the Board approved a utility permit for Eastern Iowa Light and Power at 2021 Ivory Avenue and applied the $100 permit fee (motion by Supervisor Gaul, seconded by Supervisor Barnhart; Ayes: All).
Before adjourning, the Board acknowledged an email from Lisa Obrecht, DOT Condemnation Coordinator, about individuals requesting removal from a roster and placed that item on the agenda for the following week. The meeting adjourned at 9:55 a.m.; the Board scheduled its next regular session for June 9, 2026.
