Daughters of the Utah Pioneers seek to install historic bell at Roosevelt Library property, commissioner says

Commissioner Jeff Chugg reported at the March 18 Duchesne County Library Board meeting that the Roosevelt chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers has requested to install a historic bell monument on the Roosevelt Branch property.
Commissioner Chugg said the DUP would cover installation costs and noted that monuments on county property are subject to approval by the County Commission; he reported that plans are moving forward but did not state a final approval date.
No public comment was offered during the meeting on the request. The board concluded the announcement and proceeded to other business.
