Planning Board grants one-year extensions for two subdivisions, including a Darb Builders project

The Deerfield Planning Board on June 10 voted to extend two approvals, giving developers additional time to complete outstanding conditions.
A board member said Mr. Cross was unable to obtain USDA easements and asked for a one-year extension on the Cross subdivision; the board moved, seconded and approved a motion to grant the extension. "I would move to provide a one-year extension on the the cross subdivision," a committee member said during the meeting.
Separately, the board heard that Reggie Morrow of Darb Builders is "just about squared away" on financing with the Hampshire Housing Finance Authority but that one statewide developer is getting preference because of shovel-ready projects. Morrow was reported to be considering starting work by year-end; the board moved and seconded to grant an extension for the project (the applicant discussed seeking a one- or two-year extension).
The board did not provide detailed vote tallies on the record for either extension. Staff will note the new expiration dates in the project files and track outstanding conditions such as easements and required inspections.
