Parmer County Commissioners Court approves routine minutes, payments and several infrastructure and equipment items

The Parmer County Commissioners Court convened May 26 in Farwell and completed a series of routine actions including approving previous minutes, payments and payroll; authorizing utility-line placements; approving a capital-equipment purchase for Precinct 3; and accepting a maintenance agreement for the county jail's dishwashers.
Commissioner Kenny White moved to approve the minutes from the court's May 12 meeting; Commissioner Kirk Frye seconded and the motion passed by majority. The court approved the Accounts Payable list presented by County Treasurer Sharon May and the Treasurer's payroll report for May 15, 2026. The minutes show motions and majority votes for both items but do not record individual roll-call votes.
The court approved two separate applications filed by Richard Anderson for placement of an electric line under CR2 (approximately 0.5 mile north of CR N) and for placement of a water line under CR2 at CR M. Both motions passed by majority vote. The court also approved purchase of a Caterpillar motor grader for Precinct 3 (listed price $395,000, $194,000 trade-in, net county cost $201,000) and accepted a maintenance agreement for the Sheriff's Office dishwashers with a monthly fee that increases from $196 to $262.
Amy Dudley reported the jail roster at 37 inmates (14 from Lamb County, 2 from Floyd County, and 21 Parmer County inmates). With no further business, the court adjourned at 10:38 a.m.
