Randolph County Commission proclaims county a Stroke Smart County

"Awareness of Stroke is very important," Hammond said. Diana Lansberg, chief administrative officer of Vandalia Health, appeared with Hammond.
Commission President David Kesling read the proclamation aloud during the meeting at the Commission Annex. Commissioner Chris Siler moved to approve the proclamation; the motion carried with all votes in favor.
The proclamation recognizes May 28, 2026, as the day Randolph County shall be recognized as a Stroke Smart County. The presentation did not specify follow-up funding or operational changes; the record shows only the proclamation vote and the presenters' statement about the broader initiative.
