Ridgeway board approves furnace replacement, parking-lot resurfacing and renews special-use permits

The Town of Ridgeway Board voted unanimously June 17 to approve a set of resolutions covering facility work and permits, including a $17,587 contract to replace the town’s furnace and air-conditioning unit.
Supervisor Brian Napoli opened the meeting and the board adopted Resolution No. 43 to accept Drum Oil’s proposal for $17,587.00 to replace the furnace and air-conditioning unit; Councilman Jeffrey Toussaint offered the motion and Councilman Duane Payne seconded it. Napoli said the highway department will pump out the existing heating fuel tank and that Highway Superintendent Olinger has spoken with NYSEG about a possible natural gas line to the facility.
The board also adopted Resolution No. 44 acknowledging termination of the town’s snow/ice contract with the New York State Department of Transportation (motion by Toussaint; second by Cliff Barber), and Resolution No. 45 authorizing resurfacing of the Town Hall parking lot (motion by Mary Woodruff; second by Duane Payne). Both measures passed 5 Ayes, 0 Nays.
In addition, the board accepted the recommendation of Code Enforcement Officer Jason Raduns and adopted Resolution No. 46 to renew special-use permits for the 2024–2025 year (motion by Woodruff; second by Toussaint). Raduns was identified in the meeting record as the recommending official; the minutes indicate the board voted to renew the permits without recorded amendments.
All four resolutions were recorded as adopted 5 Ayes, 0 Nays. The minutes do not list individual roll-call votes by member name for these items; tallies were recorded as unanimous in each case.
The meeting packet and minutes note related communications including a CHIPS funding letter to NYSDOT and a National Grid rate filing effective April 1, 2025, but the board did not take separate votes on those items at this session. The minutes show the board also approved payment of the presented abstract (see separate entry) and later set summer work hours in Resolution No. 47.
