Kelly Trigger told the council that sales-tax receipts were down by about $60,000 for the recent reporting period and that auditors are expected to arrive at the end of the first week of January to review documents. Public-works personnel reported mobilization for the storage building and fire-hall restrooms, completion of tank cleaning, and ongoing ice-rink preparations.
Councilors raised concerns about antennas and equipment mounted on the town’s water tank. Staff said they would identify inactive antennas for removal; representatives referenced Mountain West and Vista Beam as carriers with equipment on the tower and discussed exploring a memorandum of understanding or charging rent if third parties are using town infrastructure without clear records.
The building inspector reported 118 building permits to date, described three town projects in construction (storage building, restrooms, and related site work), and said the state fire marshal handles permitting and plan review for generators and solar systems. Officials estimated that, if submitted correctly, state fire-marshal review takes about two weeks. Council discussed posting guidance on the town website to inform residents and contractors.
