Glenrock police report large drug seizure; chief gives street-value and lethal-dose context

The chief said officers recovered approximately 296 grams of fentanyl, 128 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of DMT and 14 grams of psilocybin (mushrooms). The chief characterized the total as having an "approximate street value of $70,000," and cited the Drug Enforcement Administration to say the amount of fentanyl seized equates to about 296,000 lethal doses.
The chief framed the seizure as part of ongoing enforcement: "these drugs were being trafficked in our community and the surrounding" area and said that, while this is not the first seizure, the department continues to work to keep the streets safe. The chief also recognized staff and highlighted community outreach efforts including a school presentation tied to the Jay Foundation.
Council did not take further action on the report; it was presented for information and to acknowledge police work in the community.
