The Deptford Township Board of Education recognized the district’s 2025–2026 Teachers and Education Service Professionals of the Year at its May 12 meeting. Board President Joseph McKenna presided as honorees from each building were named and thanked for their contributions to students.
Honorees listed by building included: Deptford High School — Teacher: Ashley Cappolina; Education Service Professional: Brianna Rafferty; Deptford Middle School — Teacher: Fred Nicolosi; Education Service Professional: Felisha Patterson; Central Early Childhood Center — Teacher: Ann Sneddon; Education Service Professional: Makenzie D’Angelo; Good Intent Elementary School — Teacher: Aimee Rivello; Education Service Professional: Karen Sparano; Lake Tract Elementary School — Teacher: Jessica Gablin; Education Service Professional: Karen Myers; Oak Valley Elementary School — Teacher: Dawn Mullarkey; Education Service Professional: Adrias Schwartz; Pine Acres Early Childhood Center — Teacher: Tiffany Levins; Education Service Professional: Denise Lowry; Shady Lane Elementary School — Teacher: Patricia Severino; Education Service Professional: Heather Ivey.
The board recessed briefly during the presentation (noted 7:38–7:50 p.m.) before returning to complete business. No formal votes were required for the recognitions.
The recognition is part of the district’s annual practice of highlighting outstanding classroom and support staff across the Deptford Township Public School District.
