Durango’s city council on June 2 tabled final consideration of an ordinance authorizing conveyance of a city‑owned parcel at 1050 A Deloul to Volunteers of America Colorado for a community homeless shelter. City staff said Volunteers of America requested additional legal review by their attorneys of the sale documents, and the city agreed to postpone the final reading to allow that review.
The city attorney asked the council to table the item until the VA’s counsel completes its review. Council moved to table the matter, the motion was seconded, and a roll‑call vote carried the tabling request. No final conveyance or vote on substantive terms occurred at this meeting; staff will return the matter to a future agenda once the parties complete legal review.
