Oradell board approves consent, finance and personnel consent items and sets 'up to' funding placeholders
Summary
The Oradell Public School District board approved routine consent items, a package of finance resolutions (D1–D14) that include placeholder 'up to' amounts for reserves and capital (including a maintenance reserve 'up to $300,000' and a $3 million placeholder), and personnel recommendations on the consent agenda. Several items were described as placeholders to be finalized after the district audit.

The Oradell Public School District board approved a series of consent and finance items Wednesday, including D1–D14, which contain reserve and capital placeholders, and the personnel recommendations on the consent agenda.
Mr. Dariion introduced finance items D1 through D14 and told the board several resolutions list amounts "up to" a stated maximum. "The amount up to — that's like using the word 'may' in a legal document... up to means that is the max," he said, explaining the figures are ceilings that will be set precisely after the district audit.
The items include a maintenance reserve listed "up to $300,000" and a separate line that lists $3 million as a placeholder; board members were told these are not firm expenditures but maximums the board may authorize later pending audit results.
The board also approved approval of the May 20 minutes (motion by Mrs. Genshi; second by Mrs. Walker). On that roll call Mr. Delg Greco abstained; all other members present voted yes. Field trip C1 and a facilities‑use request (B1) were also approved on roll call.
Finance items D1–D14 were moved and seconded and passed on roll call by members present. Personnel items on the consent agenda (F1) were likewise approved during the meeting; later the board moved into closed session specifically to discuss additional personnel matters.
No public comment on agenda items was recorded and the chair said the board would not take any further action that evening after the executive sessions.
