Miss Linselada presented the calendars developed by a district calendar committee of teachers, parents and staff. The committee recommended moving first‑quarter parent‑teacher conferences one week earlier at teachers' request; the board approved the calendars as presented.
On staffing, Miss Linselada said increased enrollment in adaptive cluster programs requires two adaptive cluster teachers and one intervention specialist. Additional 2026–27 staffing requests included one secretary at Marana Middle School, a 1.25 FTE literacy aide at Tangerine Farms K‑8, one special‑education aide, an increase to a full‑time speech‑language pathologist (from 0.9 FTE), and a 0.17 FTE elective at Marana Vista Academy to support online dual enrollment and credit recovery. The proposed net cost was partially offset by reducing one full‑time PE teacher. The board approved the staffing changes without recorded opposition.
