At the May 27 Franklin Township Public Library Board meeting, Director January Adams highlighted recent program activity and outreach, saying the childrens department produced a guide to dinosaur museums and exhibits across the state to support the librarys summer-reading program.
Adams reported that adult services offered 59 programs attended by 794 people, and youth services ran 50 programs with 1,414 attendees. She also described outreach that included staffing informational tables at a college study night at Samson G. Smith, the high schools annual green fair, and literacy evenings at Pine Grove Manor and Franklin Park.
Board members responded positively to the outreach examples and the materials Adams shared for summer reading. No public comment was offered during either public-comment period at the meeting.
The directors figures will be included in the librarys regular reporting and the board noted staff are continuing to plan interior renovations and other capital work that outreach and program activity help justify.
