Ada council elects Jason Campbell as president, adopts rules and committee line-up

At its Jan. 6 meeting the Village of Ada Council adopted Roberts Rules of Order, elected council member Jason Campbell as Council President and confirmed committee chairs and representatives that will guide municipal oversight for 2026.
Jason Campbell, a member of the Village of Ada Council, was elected Council President at the council's Jan. 6 regular meeting and presented the council's organizational report outlining rules, meeting schedules and committee assignments.
The council adopted Roberts Rules of Order as its procedural guide, set regular meetings for the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m., and designated the Council Chambers as the meeting location. Jane Napier was appointed parliamentarian.
Campbell and colleagues also confirmed committee chair and representative assignments for 2026: Finance (Jason Campbell, chair), Streets (Lucas Rowe), Buildings & Grounds (Sean Beck), Safety (Sheila Coressel), Personnel (Linda Mason), Utilities (Xander Wells) and Economic Development (Jason Campbell). Council representatives to standing review groups and boards — including the Enterprise Zone, Enterprise Review Committee, the Ambulance Board and the Planning Commission — were recorded as part of the organizational report.
The organizational actions set the council's leadership and committee structure for the year; no contested appointments or amendments to the recommended structure were recorded at the meeting.
