The Town of Walworth Planning Board on May 11 designated itself lead agency for a subdivision and site‑plan application by Double R Custom Homes for a vacant lot on Mildahn Road and directed that the proposal undergo SEQRA coordinated review.
Don Lewis of D.H. Lewis Engineering, representing the applicant, told the board the applicant bought remaining lots on Mildahn Road to avoid a previous five‑lot layout and plans for a force main to be brought across the lots to connect into a header system that would allow future connections. He said the plan calls for an E1 pump system at each house rather than a gravity sewer connection and that the force main would also allow two adjacent properties, including a daycare that has experienced sanitary issues, to connect in the future.
The board voted unanimously to designate the Planning Board as lead agency for the project. Town engineer Emilio Moran said the application is a SEQRA Type I action subject to coordinated review that takes 30 days and noted that the 30‑day period will not have elapsed prior to the June 8 Planning Board meeting.
The public comment period for the item was opened and closed with no public remarks recorded. The designation of lead agency begins the coordinated review process; the Board will consider the coordinated SEQRA response and any engineering comments in future sessions.
