The motion, moved by Councilmember McGinnis and seconded by Councilmember DiSalvo, passed on a 9-0 roll call. During discussion McGinnis suggested exploring permeable concrete as an option to reduce runoff to storm drains, replenish the aquifer, and extend sidewalk longevity, while noting it is more expensive and suggested staff review it as a possible alternate or future approach.
The resolution authorized the Council President to execute an agreement with the contractor; procurement documents and contract terms were not read into the record at the meeting.
