Local dispensary owner asks Little Falls council to allow a second Class 5 delivery license

Jason Lizy, owner and operator of Al Supply Company, addressed the Little Falls Township Council during public comment on June 8 to say his business intends to apply for a cannabis delivery license and to ask the council to consider permitting a second Class 5 operator in town.
Lizy said Little Falls currently hosts a Class 5 retail operator on Route 46 but that operator does not offer delivery, so customers who prefer delivery place orders with businesses in other municipalities and the related 2% transfer tax flows to those towns instead of Little Falls. 'We're leaving that revenue on the table,' Lizy told the council, arguing that a delivery-only operator would reach different customers and expand the service area without duplicating walk-in retail.
Lizy asked only that the council and municipal attorney discuss a responsible path forward and did not request an immediate commitment. Council members responded that the governing body has in the past limited Little Falls to one Class 5 license because of the town's size; they said a planning-board application for a delivery-only license had been reviewed previously and that any change would be taken up by the governing body in the future.
No vote or formal action was taken. The mayor and council thanked Lizy for presenting his intent; council members noted that the subject could be discussed later if the governing body decides to revisit its policy on the number of Class 5 operators.
