Task force promotes rain-barrel sale, volunteer cleanups and Bird Friendly symposium

At its March 11 meeting, the North Tonawanda Climate Smart Task Force highlighted several community outreach and volunteer activities.
The group promoted an Erie County rain-barrel and compost-bin sale and shared the related online link. Buffalo Audubon will host a Bird Friendly Buffalo symposium on April 23. Volunteers are invited to a Canal Clean-Up at Mayor's Park on April 18 at 9 a.m., and a BNW Cleanup is scheduled for April 25; Nurdle Patrol training is offered at Gratwick on May 9 or May 21 (registration on the BNW website). Task-force members were reminded to publicize the events and register as appropriate.
Erin Hanaburgh shared a Google Drive with members to track points related to campaigns. The minutes also note that a GHG inventory produced by UBRI could be submitted as an additional action item and that some natural-resources action elements are complete but need compilation (members should contact 'Nick' for follow-up).
