Hatch said completed criminal and administrative investigations found no evidence of foul play in the 2025 cases and that the facility's mortality rate for 2025 was about half the national mortality rate for similar local jails. "We worked with the sheriff's office to provide a report of recent deaths at the detention facility," Hatch said, noting that deaths occurring in 2026 were not included because medical-examiner reports were still pending.
