Commission staff told the Historical Landmark Commission on June 10 that work at the Rio Visa campus is ongoing and that preparations are under way for the next construction phase.
The staff member said crews are redoing the concrete foundation and replacing some steel panels, and that staff anticipates issuing a bid for phase three in quarter four of the year. “We are anticipating bid for phase three to go out quarter four of this year ... so that way physical construction can start again in January,” the staff member said.
Staff also reported that a historic survey procurement was posted and that submissions are due tomorrow; staff expected to open bids and score submissions this week with a goal of requesting council appropriations in July.
No motion was required on the update.
