Council adopts bills, accepts fire equipment grant, waives hiring freeze and proclaims Goldieburgers' centennial

The Village of Forest Park council moved through several routine measures and votes during its June 8 meeting.

Bills by resolution (R50‑26): The clerk read departmental bill totals and the council adopted a resolution to dispense with reading and authorize payment as listed. The roll call recorded affirmative responses from Commissioners Maxim, Nero, Melan Reggoven, Vogue and Mayor Hoskins. Proclamation — Goldieburgers 100th anniversary: Council read and adopted a proclamation celebrating Goldieburgers' centennial and congratulated owner Mike Sullivan for decades of stewardship.
