Commission hears updates on Indigo infrastructure, reservoir progress and volunteer cleanup

Commissioners received project and staff updates at the June 10 meeting, including progress on Indigo infrastructure, reservoir construction and community volunteer events.
Planning staff said Indigo is close to submitting final plats for phase one; once plats are approved the developer will receive notice to proceed with infrastructure installation. "They're very close to starting to put in their infrastructure," staff said, describing grading and final-plat work for the active-adult phases.
On the reservoir, staff reported contractors are still raising the dam and estimated completion and initial filling in January 2027, with final work into mid-February depending on weather and water availability: "January of next year 2027... probably finish it up the final stuff in mid-February," a staff presenter said. Commissioners discussed possible recreation planning around the reservoir and trail connections.
Staff also invited volunteers to two cleanup events: an evening park maintenance session and a stream-bank cleanup on Saturday at Center Street Park starting at 8:00 a.m.; public works will collect piled debris. The meeting adjourned after the announcements.
