Commission names Kathy Falkenbach city voting representative to NCTCOG

At item C1 the commission considered designating an elected official as the voting representative to the North Central Texas Council of Governments general assembly. City staff explained the general assembly meets annually and that staff members are not eligible to serve as the city's voting representative.
Mayor (Moderator) nominated Commissioner Kathy Falkenbach and Commissioner Eric Pierce seconded the nomination. The commission approved the appointment by voice vote. The commission recorded "the ayes have it and the motion carries." City staff will notify NCTCOG and forward formal appointment information.
The role is procedural for the annual general assembly; staff said the appointed representative's primary duty is voting on bylaw changes and other assembly business at the annual meeting.
