Planning commission forwards 2024 annual report; notes zoning amendment adoption and SALDO update work

At the Feb. 4, 2025 meeting the Longswamp Township Planning Commission voted unanimously to forward its 2024 Annual Report to the Board of Supervisors. The motion was made by Commissioner Kerry Meitzler and seconded by Commissioner Greg Kupar.
During the engineer's report, the commission was told the Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on Jan. 14 and passed a motion adopting the zoning ordinance amendments the Planning Commission had prepared and recommended; the minutes record that no public comments were received at that public hearing. The solicitor reported that at the Board's Jan. 28 meeting the Board was made aware of a public hearing for a restaurant liquor license transfer at Radcliffe’s Great Valu Market; the township is required to approve that transfer as part of the licensing process.
Commissioners also heard a brief outline from the engineer of topics to be addressed in a future update to the township Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO). No public comments were recorded during the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. following a motion by Commissioner Chris Moore, seconded by Commissioner Greg Kupar.
