Planning commission approves Humphrey Acres amendment and forwards two board applicants
Summary
The commission approved a minor-subdivision amendment to expand Lot 1 and widen a private road, and voted to forward two on-time board applicants to the county commission while re-advertising for two more seats.
During the meeting Chair Gary called for consideration of a minor-subdivision amendment submitted by Joe Humphrey to attach a half-acre formerly classified as a right-of-way to Lot 1 and to change the private road depiction to a 30-foot width. Humphrey explained the modification was carve-out of a 30-foot corridor and that the parcel met county requirements. After brief discussion about road width, emergency access and the lot's flag-lot characteristics, a commissioner moved to approve the amendment and another commissioner seconded the motion. The commission approved the amendment by voice vote.
Earlier in the agenda planning staff (Natalie Olson) reported two on-time applicants for board openings, Jesse Lobato and Laurel Killpack, and commissioners moved to forward those two names to the Emery County Commission and to advertise for two additional members so that late applicants could be included in a reopened process. The motion passed by voice vote.
