The Cody Planning, Zoning & Adjustment Board on Nov. 20 adopted seven resolutions from its Nov. 6 meeting and heard staff and board discussion about a proposed consent calendar to streamline routine approvals.
Planning staff introduced the purpose of the resolutions: to clearly record findings, conclusions and conditions of approval so staff, applicants and the building inspector have a clear record of what the board approved. "Resolutions going forward will just clearly define your findings, conclusions, and conditions of approval...This will give us a clear record of what was actually approved," staff member Jenny said.
Board member Dan noted the seven resolutions presented and read their notation for the record: "We approve resolutions 2025‑01, 2025‑02, 2025‑03, 2025‑04, 2025‑05, 2025‑06 and 2025‑07," as presented by staff. The board moved, seconded and voted to adopt the resolutions.
Chair also proposed introducing a consent calendar next month that would bundle agenda approval, minutes and resolutions into a single item; a board member suggested following the city council model so members can pull individual items off the consent calendar if they want additional discussion. The board agreed to consider that format at the next meeting.
The items adopted will be included in the planning record and will be available to applicants, staff and, if necessary, to the courts as part of the formal record of approvals.
