Salem Township approves exterior repairs for concession stand after soccer league offer

Riccobon said the league would purchase refrigerators and freezers and handle interior refurbishment if the township would perform necessary exterior repairs and ensure utilities are functioning.
The Board approved a $4,820 quote from Overhead Door to replace two exterior doors on the concession stand and separately authorized the Department of Public Works to start projects aimed at securing the building and restoring utilities. The Board’s action combines a contractor purchase and internal DPW work to prepare the stand for the league’s planned interior improvements.
The decision is intended to enable community use of the facility during the coming season; the minutes do not specify a construction schedule or funding source beyond the approved Overhead Door quote. The Board did not record a roll-call vote in the minutes.
The township manager recorded the approval and the Board moved to other agenda items. The carnival-grounds repairs are expected to proceed through DPW scheduling and the league’s independent purchase of appliances.
