Mocksville fire apprenticeship graduate offered part‑time position after town internship

"This helped me grow in into my career... I was able to go on calls with all the firemen and learn and be able do skills and fight fire," Connor said.
Commissioners congratulated Connor and welcomed him; the mayor and other officials praised the program as a workforce pipeline that may help staffing levels in public safety.
Next steps: no formal vote; the department will onboard Connor per normal hiring processes.
