Highway Department Manager Jon Green presented an agreement with Midwestern Electric to provide annual maintenance, inspection and component replacement for the county’s single traffic signal at Michigan Road and Hutchinson Lane after a recent outage highlighted the absence of a formal service contract. Commissioner Ron Lee moved to approve the agreement; Commissioner David Bramer seconded and the motion carried.
Jefferson County Public Library Director Judi Terpening recommended the appointment of Kristi Amick to the library board for a term beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2030. Commissioner David Bramer moved to appoint Amick; Commissioner Ron Lee seconded and the motion carried.
The meeting also opened with routine approvals: the minutes of the prior meeting, all accounts payable vouchers and payroll claim dockets were approved on motions by Commissioner Bramer and seconded by Commissioner Lee.
The commissioners concluded the meeting by approving a motion to adjourn.
