Superintendent highlights student awards, new playgrounds and summer programs at June board meeting

She also highlighted a community garden at Fairview that supports hands‑on learning and noted ongoing summer offerings — including the Creative Arts Pipeline Summer Art Series, West’s Future Summer Camp (K–3), a summer meal program providing free breakfast and lunch to children up to age 18, and a CSI Westminster camp for incoming middle‑school students focusing on aviation, biotech and cyber skills.
Dr. Gateau closed by promoting district performing‑arts partnerships, including a Melody Musical Theatre production of Newsies with student performers on Aug. 7–8, and by noting the annual back‑to‑school breakfast and backpack giveaway scheduled for Aug. 8.
