The Bolton Fire Commission approved officer nominations from the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department during its April 27, 2026 meeting at the Bolton Fire House. Chairman John Morianos presented a April 16, 2026 letter from Joseph Chip White, president of BVFD Inc., reporting the department’s membership nomination of Bruce Dixon for chief and Matthew Perreira for deputy chief.
Commission member Robert Langton moved to approve the recommendation; Commission member Chris Moquin seconded the motion. The commission recorded the motion as approved by voice vote (noted in the minutes as “VU”). The minutes do not give a numeric roll-call tally.
The nominations finalize the BVFD’s internal recommendations and were accepted by the commission without further discussion. The approval was recorded in the meeting minutes and reflected in the commission’s action log for April 27. The commission also noted upcoming member-term expirations on June 30, 2026 and that it will recruit replacements for terms starting July 1, 2026.
The commission’s next regular meeting is scheduled for May 18, 2026.
