Hayawa Gardens phase one approved; kickoff set, EV chargers to be offline during construction

Staff reported that the City Council approved phase one of the Hayawa Gardens project and that the project team will hold a kickoff meeting on Friday to begin planning.
"I believe council approved phase one of the project... we are going to have our kickoff meeting on Friday," Felipe Lopez said, noting staff had no firm construction start date yet. He added that one operational impact will be that the site’s EV chargers will be offline for the duration of construction and that parking will be affected.
Board members asked about charger infrastructure at other hubs; staff said chargers are already available at the pool and that the Dylan hub has underground infrastructure planned to support future chargers but no active chargers at present. Lopez said staff will circulate schedule updates and further details to the board when construction timing is finalized.
No board motion was taken; the update was informational and flagged for future follow-up when the project schedule is firm.
