Lane County recognizes Allie Knapp for data dashboards that track deflection and recovery outcomes

Lane County commissioners recognized Allie (Ali) Knapp of Technology Services on June 9 for developing Power BI dashboards that support the county’s Behavioral Health Deflection Program and other public safety data needs.
Speakers at the recognition noted that the dashboards integrate data from partner agencies (including the district attorney and law enforcement), increase transparency, and help the county track outcomes and equitable application of deflection services. Captain Clint Riley reported that the deflection program has had 483 participants since its October 2024 launch and that about 160 people are currently engaged or have completed the program and are no longer frequent users of emergency, law enforcement or jail systems.
Commissioners and staff lauded the dashboards’ role in enabling data‑driven decisions, supporting grant applications, and increasing community trust by making program metrics publicly available. The county also noted that some dashboards contain protected data and are limited to internal use.
No formal board action was required; staff and commissioners encouraged continued transparency and use of data to guide services.
