Noblesville — The Common Council on June 9 approved fiscal-plan resolutions for two separate voluntary annexations into the city that, together, would add roughly 255 acres of suburban residential development.
Staff presented the Bending Branch plan development (also referenced as Pebble Brook Crossing), described as approximately 162–163 acres currently in Noblesville Township, with plans for roughly 305 single-family homes. The council opened and closed the public hearing, and approved resolution RC-17-26 (the fiscal plan) by hand vote; staff reiterated that state statute requires a two-week wait before the council may adopt the annexation ordinance.
A second voluntary annexation — identified as Mount Clair Plan Development — covers about 93 acres north of State Road 32 and east of Little Chicago Road; staff said it would be developed into about 136 single-family lots. The council closed the public hearing and approved resolution RC-18-26 by hand vote.
Both resolutions are fiscal-plan approvals and do not immediately annex the properties; the two-week statutory waiting period precedes final ordinance adoption for each annexation.
