Town staff briefed the Greenburgh Town Board on three related items for the Four Corners redevelopment project: acceptance of a state grant, formation of an oversight steering committee, and temporary lot use by a contractor working on Central Park Avenue.
The presenter said, “$135,000 grant, $15,000 town match, $150,000 budget,” describing CD1 as a grant acceptance and CD2 as authorizing a Four Corners steering committee that would oversee implementation. The presenter added that most listed steering committee members have completed required training and that one remaining training item would be completed by the next day.
On CD3, staff said the contractor repaving Central Park Avenue would be authorized to use the town lot at Four Corners for approximately seven to ten months to support the project, and that arrangement carries a revenue component; a board member recorded the anticipated rent as about "$1,000 a month." Staff said prior practice has shown contractors often leave the site in improved condition.
Board members raised concerns about prior traffic and flood studies for Four Corners, with one member noting studies are years old and that mitigation work may be required before zoning changes. Staff offered to follow up with a short overview of Four Corners implementation and to meet with members for more detail.
The board will consider the resolutions (CD1–CD3) on the regular agenda; staff recommended forming the steering committee and proceeding with outreach and training completion.
