John Synoski read the resolution into the record, and the board moved to add the item to the agenda and then to approve it as an administrative policy. The motion to adopt the resolution carried on a roll-call vote: Daley Aye, Synoski Aye, Marchese Not present.
During the public-comment portion of the meeting, resident Sherri Homanko of 349 W. 30th Street asked how the board would address ADA accommodations for public comment and noted projects in Hazle Township and Hazleton affect people beyond township residents. "How are you going to address for ADA Accomodations for Public Comment," Homanko asked.
Synoski responded that the Planning Board itself cannot change the Supervisors' resolution and that any change would need action by the Supervisors. "We cannot change the Resolution, the Supervisors have to do that," he said.
The board's action makes the supervisors' guidance the Planning Board's current administrative policy for handling who may speak, what information to provide when signing in, and the procedures for public comment. The Planning Board did not make independent changes to the policy; Synoski and Daley indicated the Supervisors would need to consider any amendments.
The meeting continued with project reviews and routine business; the board adjourned at 6:46 PM.
