Spring Meadow resident urges completion of Wyckoff crosswalk, credits township for securing state safety grant

Tumi said the association represents about 112 homes and that committee member Matt Cavalo helped secure a state safety grant of "almost $70,000" to fund work related to the crossing and other safety improvements. She said the crossing remained closed and hazardous while final installations were completed and asked officials to ensure residents did not attempt to use it.
Township officials confirmed that state crews had worked on the site and that the crossing remained closed pending final safety installations, including pedestrian crossing lights and advanced-warning signage. Tumi also thanked staff for sending workers to remove dead trees and underbrush that raised fire-safety concerns in her community.
The committee accepted her thanks and reiterated public warnings to avoid the closed crossing until contractors finish final safety work.
