Premier Lakes reports minimal algae, plans littoral plantings and to inspect noisy aerators

Alex Kurth of Premier Lakes reported at the June 25 meeting that crews did a strong job preparing sites for the rainy season, leaving very little algae or submerged invasive vegetation. Kurth said crews would treat any invasives that return. He told the board littorals will be installed in two weeks and that staff will provide a firm date to District Manager Cleo Adams.
Kurth confirmed staff had repaired a sound box behind a residence in the Masters and said he had not yet received feedback from district staff or residents about the repair. Operations Manager Shane Willis asked Kurth to check the sound level at Lake E1-C and to report back at the next meeting.
Why it matters: Routine lake and shoreline maintenance affects water quality, shoreline erosion control and neighborhood amenity value; scheduling littoral plantings and aerator inspections are normal operational steps ahead of the rainy season.
What’s next: Premier Lakes will provide a firm installation date for littorals and will check aerators and sound levels as requested.
