Town board appoints Elisabeth Giacche, proclaims Fair Housing Month and approves park events

The board appointed Elisabeth Giacche to fill a vacancy on the Citizens Advisory Council for Community Development, with a term ending Dec. 31, 2026. Motions to appoint were moved by Councilman David Kudgus and seconded by Councilman Frank J. Bertoni, and the appointment carried.
The board issued proclamations declaring April 2025 as Fair Housing Month and the week of April 13–19, 2025 as Community Development Week.
The board also approved park use requests: the Garden Club of Endwell (Tammy Terboss, 2nd VP) was authorized to use Highland Park Shelter #7 for an annual picnic on July 9, 2025, with a tentative rain date of July 10, and the board asked that the fee be waived; and CSEA’s request to use Highland Park on May 18, 2025 for a member appreciation meeting with food trucks and one shelter reserved was approved and referred to Parks & Public Works for coordination. Both motions were carried.
What happens next: The Parks & Recreation staff and Commissioner of Public Works will coordinate shelter assignments, equipment use and any fee waivers; the minutes do not list final approvals conditional on insurance except where noted (Park Manor Plaza agreement subject to insurance and Town Attorney approval).
