Union County reports progress on Turner building move; department heads give monthly updates

Mollet told the board he is arranging a deep-cleaning crew to make the Turner building move-in ready, is investigating utility lines that are being relocated and is coordinating with Certified Testing. The board indicated it has a draft lease for the Turner building and that a few legal details remain under review.
The board directed that the newly paved back parking lot be reserved for county employees and encouraged the public to use the front entrance while construction and site work continue in the rear lot.
Department heads provided monthly reports: Maintenance (Sexton) and Assessor Bousquet presented routine updates, Planning and Zoning (Henze) reviewed related items and 4‑H Educator Fritsch summarized the year’s 4‑H activities and upcoming events.
No formal votes on the Turner building lease or additional construction contracts were recorded in the minutes; the board continued to discuss logistics and legal details. The meeting recessed twice during the session and adjourned at 1:25 p.m.
