Union County commissioners approve server purchase, sheriff software contract, claims and personnel moves

On personnel actions, the board approved Tracy Smith’s retirement and thanked her for her years of service after a motion by Commissioner Dailey and a second from Commissioner Ustad. The board also approved hiring Jenna Flannery as deputy treasurer at $3,492.09 per month beginning June 10, following a motion by Commissioner Dailey and a second from Commissioner Ustad.
The board voted to join the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce on a motion from Commissioner Dailey, seconded by Commissioner Kimmel. The meeting record shows all formal motions were recorded as “carried”; the minutes do not list roll-call tallies.
The board recessed twice during the meeting and adjourned at 1:25 p.m., scheduling its next regular session for June 23, 2026.
