The Academy District 20 Board of Education approved its consent agenda Tuesday night, confirming several administrator hires and routine business items.
Board President Shandy called for the motion to approve the consent agenda; after a second, the board took a roll call and the motion carried. The consent agenda included recommendations to hire multiple administrators across district schools.
During introductions before the vote, Mr. Smart presented recommended hires: Erica Ramirez for assistant principal at Aspen Valley High School; Lauren O'Leary for assistant principal at Timberview Middle School; Chad Cullors for assistant principal at Timberview Middle School; Tiffany Hopkins for assistant principal at Antelope Trails Elementary School; Robin Behringer for assistant principal at Chinook Trail Elementary School; Devon Johnson for principal at Encompass Heights Elementary School; and Julie Cassano for Director for Student Support Services. Several candidates attended and briefly addressed the board to thank members and describe their priorities.
Interim Superintendent Dr. Field praised the candidates and highlighted the district's focus on leadership development and continuity as the school year approaches. Director Wilburn noted the board appreciated the professionalism shown by candidates and staff during the hiring presentations.
The board paused for a group photograph with outgoing Air Force Academy liaison Colonel Herndon after the approvals; no public speakers had registered for the evening's public hearing on the proposed 2627 budget.
The board's next procedural step is the continuation of regular business items and monitoring reports later in the meeting.
