Voorhees board honors retiring educators and staff at end-of-year meeting

The Voorhees Township Board of Education honored staff members who are retiring this year, thanking them for careers of service to district students and families.
Board members collectively commended nearly three decades of service by several employees and offered special recognition to Tracy Redern for what the board described as “nearly 30 years of dedicated service,” particularly at Signal Hill School. Board members and community representatives praised retirees for their influence on students, classrooms and district programs. A district retiree luncheon is scheduled for June 16.
Individual retirees were called forward for photographs; board members and speakers offered personal remarks about mentors and classroom memories. A representative of the district employee association (BTAAA) spoke in support of Chris Calabria and other retirees, noting a 32-year career and thanking the district for her service.
The board’s recognition was ceremonial; no employment or benefit changes were discussed in public session during the recognition portion of the meeting.
